Fruity Branding : Fleeting Feelings of a Fool {ffoaf} Podcast
At Och & Aye, we love working on projects that push creative boundaries. So, when we were tasked with designing the branding for Fleeting Feelings of a Fool (or ffoaf for short)—a podcast filled with wit, self-reflection, and a touch of mischief—we knew it had to be something special.
The goal? To create a visual identity that captured the podcast’s lighthearted, conversational style while standing out in a crowded digital space. We leaned into a playful and expressive aesthetic, using bold speech bubbles, quirky typography, and dynamic doodles to reflect the spontaneous and humorous nature of the show!

Colours
The colour palette for ffoaf was chosen to reflect the podcast’s lighthearted and expressive nature. Warm corals and soft peaches create a playful base, while the addition of lively purples and vibrant yellows injects a sense of fun and spontaneity.
These colours not only make the branding feel energetic and engaging but also help it stand out in a sea of podcast visuals.
Fonts
Typography plays a key role in shaping the brand’s character. We opted for a combination of rounded, approachable letterforms that echo the informal, conversational tone of the podcast.
The primary typeface has a friendly, slightly chunky quality, making it feel inviting and accessible. To enhance the playful feel, we incorporated variations in weight and style, reinforcing the sense of unpredictability that aligns with the podcast’s free-flowing discussions.
Assets
To further bring the brand to life, we introduced hand-drawn embellishments such as dynamic doodles, speech bubbles, and playful highlights.
These elements add a sense of movement, mirroring the unpredictable and often whimsical nature of the podcast’s conversations. The use of sketch-like accents helps break up structured elements, creating a visual language that feels full of personality.

We designed a full suite of branding elements, including a podcast cover, social media assets, and custom stickers featuring signature catchphrases like "Aye Foolin’ Aboot" and "Och! That Might’ve Been a Wee Mistake." These details give the brand its own unique voice, ensuring that ffoaf feels instantly recognizable and brimming with personality.
The final result?
A brand that’s as fun and engaging as the podcast itself—one that invites listeners into a world of fleeting thoughts, foolish musings, and plenty of laughs along the way.
